The Phnom Penh Post Examines Business Challenges Faced by Cambodian Women

November 22, 2010 — An article in The Phnom Penh Post (Cambodia) profiles five women entrepreneurs in Cambodia and examines the business challenges faced by women in the country. Despite the barriers, 62 percent of businesses in Cambodia are owned by women, according to research conducted by The Asia Foundation and the International Finance Corporation. The Asia Foundation’s Véronique Salze-Lozac’h is quoted as saying, “I think more and more it is recognized that women in Cambodia are playing a really important role.” Read the full article:  “Equality: entrepreneur style.”
