Asia Foundation Honors Dr. David D. Ho with Lotus Leadership Award

On June 8 in New York City, The Asia Foundation’s Lotus Circle honors leading AIDS researcher Dr. David D. Ho with the first annual Lotus Leadership Award. Dr. Ho revolutionized the world’s understanding of HIV/AIDS; his groundbreaking research and advocacy catalyzed landmark treatment and prevention programs in China, and has dramatically improved the health and well-being of Chinese women and children. The award will be presented by Asia Foundation President David D. Arnold and Carol Yost, director of our Women’s Empowerment Program. ABC News’ Lynn Sherr, who has reported on women’s issues and social change for 30 years, will host the luncheon. Read more.
