Alex Baron received his B.A. in Political Science and Psychology, Washington University in St. Louis in 2010. Alex lived in Japan and Yemen in his early years and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. His interests in music and athletics developed at a young age, beginning drums and sports at age eight. In high school, his basketball team won its first-ever state championship. His rock band recorded multiple albums, and his school chamber choir won an international competition during my senior year. Alex joined the student government, served as senior copyeditor for the school newspaper, traveled on service trips to Indian reservations. In college, Alex continued with music, studying piano and drums, joining an acapella group, and forming a rock band. He also continued to play basketball, helping the team to its first NCAA National Championship. In his senior year, Alex was elected vice president of the senior class. In order to pursue his interest in politics, he worked in a Washington D.C public policy think-tank. Following his interest in psychology, he worked in St. Louis’ only psychosocial rehabilitation center. His interest in education led to a summer teaching internship at New Hampshire’s Exeter Academy and a teaching assistantship at Washington University.
