Senior Director, Public Sector Development Services
Jaime Chua is The Asia Foundation's senior director for Public Sector Development Services and he co-chairs The Foundation Evaluation Task Force. His prior position was assistant director for Programs where led the bids and proposals team and supported field operations respectively. His work history includes ten years at the Agricultural Cooperative Development International, an agricultural and economic development firm where he served as regional representative for Asia, and country director for the Philippines, Mongolia, Cambodia, and Indonesia respectively. In these capacities, he managed country programs and international consulting in agribusiness, enterprise development, financial services, and food security. He was a senior economist for local settlement program at UNHCR, and chief financial officer of the Philippines National Council on Integrated Area Development. He also teaches graduate courses on Comparative Political Economy of Development, and International Development Management at The Center for Asia Pacific Studies, University of San Francisco.
Education: Doctorate in Management with fields in Institutional and Regulatory Economics from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University; Graduate Certificate in Policy and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University; Master's in Applied Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific; and Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Far Eastern University.
