Harry Harding joined The Asia Foundation's board of trustees in 1992. Until recently, he was dean of the Elliot School of International Affairs and professor of international affairs and political science at George Washington University. Dean Harding serves on the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the Atlantic Council. He has served as a member of the U.S.-PRC Joint Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the Defense Policy Board, and as the president of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs. He is recognized as one of America's pre-eminent China scholars.
