Director, Strategy & Programs, Global Communications

Eelynn Sim is director of Strategy & Programs for Global Communications at The Asia Foundation. A communications strategist with a background in international development and corporate communications, she is passionate about communications and community—and sharing stories of the people and critical issues making a positive social impact.

She currently drives strategic communications, program communications, and digital content priorities to raise the Foundation’s profile among donors, partners, and media. In addition to leading communications for signature initiatives such as Go Digital ASEAN, Survey of the Afghan People, and Asia Foundation Development Fellows, she guides communications programs, media training, capacity training, and other Foundation-wide engagement priorities.

Eelynn previously worked at Golin, an Interpublic Group company on corporate communications, public affairs, and multicultural community engagement programs. She began her career in teaching and academic research.

Education: Graduate diploma in International Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science; master’s degree in Asian Pacific Studies from the University of San Francisco – Center for the Pacific Rim; bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and Chinese from Williams College.
