Senior Director, Public Sector Development Services
Jaime Chua has served as The Asia Foundation's senior director for Public Sector Development Services. His prior position was assistant director for Programs. He also co-chairs The Foundation Evaluation Task Force. His work history includes ten years at Agricultural Cooperative Development International, an agricultural and economic development firm where he served as regional representative for Asia, and country director for the Philippines, Mongolia, Cambodia, and Indonesia respectively. He was a senior economist for local settlement program at UNHCR, and chief financial officer of the Philippines National Council on Integrated Area Development. He currently teaches a graduate course on Comparative Political Economy of Development in East Asia at The Center for the Pacific Rim, University of San Francisco.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Far Eastern University, master's degree in Applied Economics from University of Asia and the Pacific, Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University, and Doctorate in Management with fields in Institutional and Regulatory Economics from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.
