AFGHAN GIRLS' EDUCATION MATCHING GRANT
Tell her she can…go to school!
When you give to the Afghan Girls' Education Matching Grant, your dollar will be worth two! Our longstanding partner and a major supporter of education for Afghan girls, the National Geographic Society Afghan Children's Fund, will match every gift dollar-for-dollar up to a maximum of $40,000.*
Accessing quality education in Afghanistan remains a challenge, especially for girls. Many schools are in poor condition due to decades of instability, conflict, and lack of resources. Funds raised will be used to make essential improvements to schools like one primary school on the outskirts of Kabul, where every day more than 650 of the 2,764 students receive instruction outside without desks or chairs.
Contributions – in any amount – will help:
- Provide additional classrooms so that students can attend school in all types of weather;
- Furnish classrooms with chairs, desks, and blackboards; and,
- Give girls the tools to succeed, including books and other educational materials.
