This week, His Excellency Elbegdorj, president of Mongolia, was honored by The Asia Foundation at a private dinner in San Francisco. The president was here to mark the opening of a formal Mongolian consulate. President Elbegdorj was one of the leaders of Mongolia’s peaceful democratic revolution in 1990.
