Authored by Robert D. Lamb, senior fellow and director of the Program on Crisis, Conflict, and Cooperation at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, the paper provides detailed analysis of the survey data on governance in Afghanistan, explores Afghans’ views of governance, and considers the implications of those views on efforts to improve governance in Afghanistan in the short term.
