Dear Mr. MacDougall,

I am one of the female election monitors in Indonesia. My organisation is KIPP (Komite Independen Pemantau Pemilu) or Independent Committee for Election Monitoring. KIPP is the first election monitoring in Indonesia that established in 1996. I belong to KIPP since 1998 and I am also international election observer in some Asian countries since 2009.
If you want to know about me and my organisation, you can check my blog http://forum-democracy.blogspot.com, where I write and will write some articles regarding election both in Indonesia and some countries I observed. There I write in Indonesian language. I will write articles in English, too but perhaps later after I write enough articles in Indonesian language.

Dear Laurel,

Thank you for the wonderful article. Your programs at TAF are all the more valuable to the women at the DPR and DPRD. I hope women are among the election monitors in the upcoming elections or pilkada, too. JPPR has always been there. Will they be there during the upcoming elections?

All the best,

John MacDougall (PhD, Anthropology, ex-TAF program officer)
