July 2, 2010 — An article in The Mindanao Examiner states that more than 280 elementary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities in the town of Virac received some 13,600 books today from The Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia program. Deputy Country Representative Ky Johnson and Books for Asia Director Effren Balajadia presented the donated books and are quoted in the article.
