Hanoi, February 24, 2012 — On February 13, 2012, Asia Foundation President David D. Arnold visited the National Library of Vietnam, a key Books for Asia partner. Accompanied by Kim Ninh, country representative of The Asia Foundation in Vietnam, and Dinh Kieu Nhung, Books for Asia officer in Vietnam, Arnold toured the library and reading rooms with its collection of English-language books. Since 1993, Books for Asia has distributed over 350,000 books throughout Vietnam. The National Library of Vietnam is Books for Asia’s local counterpart and helps to distribute books to other Vietnamese libraries, most notably public provincial libraries and university libraries throughout Vietnam.
