Masashi Oka is the Executive Chairman of MUFG Union Bank, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU). He is also Managing Executive Officer and Co-Chief Operating Officer for the Americas for BTMU. Mr. Oka has led a long and distinguished career with the BTMU family of companies since 1979, serving in Tokyo, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Mr. Oka is actively involved with several prominent community and industry organizations. He serves as Director for: The Clearing House, Shimano American Corporation, Japan Society of Northern California, Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California, Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California, and Japan Business Association of Southern California. Additionally, he is a Trustee of the Asian Art Museum Foundation of San Francisco, and serves as Governor to the Japanese American National Museum. Mr. Oka is also a member of the Board for the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and the Kyoto Symposium Organization.
