Paul G. Hoffman, founding member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees (1954-1959), was an established automobile professional whose career in the industry spanned 40 years. Mr. Hoffman served as Board Chairman of the Hoffman Specialty Manufacturing Corporation and president, chairman and chief executive officer of the Studebaker Corporation. He was the first administrator of the Marshall Plan in Europe and the first chairman of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) from 1942 to 1948.
