The Estée Lauder Companies and The Asia Foundation
On June 18, 2014, The Asia Foundation and the Lotus Circle, a community of individuals working with The Asia Foundation to empower women and girls in Asia, honored The Estée Lauder Companies at the fourth annual Lotus Leadership Awards Gala in New York City. More than 200 girls in the Mekong Delta region have been able to stay in school and reach their full potential as a result of The Estee Lauder Companies’ philanthropy and partnership with The Asia Foundation. The evening prior, an intimate reception was held at the company’s global headquarters in Manhattan for members of the Lotus Circle, The Asia Foundation, and the other award recipients, Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and women’s empowerment activist Nani Zulminarni.
Said Senior Director of the Women’s Empowerment Program at The Asia Foundation Carol Yost: “We value The Estée Lauder Companies’ generous commitment to improving the lives of young women in Asia. Together, we all make it possible for us to reach girls and women in Asia to Tell Her She Can.”
The Estée Lauder Companies was the Premier Sponsor of this year’s awards.
