New Nation: Asia Foundation Introduces Early Warning System for Bangladeshi Industrial Centers

July 6, 2010 — An article in The New Nation (Bangladesh) reports that West Zone Power Distribution Company introduced a new early warning system for the industrial units of Barisal BSCIC to prevent loss of raw materials and damage to machinery in the case of sudden power loss. The Asia Foundation is cited as a collaborator in the introduction of this system, and Dipu Hafizur Rahman is identified as Program Officer of The Asia Foundation’s Barisal office.
