The Dynamic U.S.-Asia Economic Relationship

Treasury Department Assistant Secretary for International Finance
Assistant Secretary Collyns will discuss the growing economic partnership for the United States and Asia, including the challenges and opportunities ahead. He will also discuss President Obama’s agenda for the U.S. host year for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the Treasury Department’s economic priorities for the region.
Collyns will be in San Francisco to represent the U.S. at the Asia Pacific Economic Council Deputies meeting this month. He plays a leading role on Treasury’s work on international monetary policy, international financial institutions, and regional and bilateral economic issues. He was formerly the Deputy Director of the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund.
