Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva Cites 2010 National Thailand Poll

April 29, 2011 — An article in Matichon Weekly (Thailand) features an exclusive interview with Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva who shared his views on the upcoming election and the prospects of the Democrat Party returning to power. Prime Minister Vejjajiva references The Asia Foundation’s 2010 National Survey of the Thai Electorate: Exploring National Consensus and Color Polarization as saying “Among those surveyed, 13.6 percent identified themselves as red while 10.3 percent identified themselves as yellow.” Prime Minister Vejjajiva believes the remaining 76 percent represent Thais who do not want to choose sides and be in the midst of conflict, but instead prefer to see the country move forward.
