TIME Magazine Discusses Upcoming Thai Elections

May 20, 2011 — An article in TIME focuses on the one-year anniversary of the Red Shirts protesting against the Thai government security forces. The author, Robert Horn, discusses the upcoming Thai elections and whether similar protests are expected. While the Red Shirts were able to draw over 100,000 protesters at times, The Asia Foudation’s 2010 National Survey of the Thai Electorate: Exploring National Consensus and Color Polarization showed only 13% of those surveyed identified themselves as Red Shirt supporters.
