Women’s News Korea: Supporting Mongolian Businesswomen
October 21, 2016 — Women’s News Korea features an interview with The Asia Foundation’s Country Representative in Mongolia Meloney Lindberg on the launch of the Women’s Business Center in Mongolia, which supports for women entrepreneurs:
Ulaanbaatar’s first Women’s Business Center opened on July 6th, earlier this year. The Women’s Business Center acts as an incubator to provide education, capacity building, and support for Mongolian women entrepreneurs. The Center is a public-private partnership project between the city of Ulaanbaatar, which provided the Center’s building, the Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA), and The Asia Foundation Mongolia Office.
The Asia Foundation—based in San Francisco, CA—was founded for Asia’s economic and social development, and conducts research in policy, law, women’s rights, economic reform, and international relations. Meloney Lindberg, the Country Representative for The Asia Foundation Mongolia Office and one of the main collaborators in building the Women’s Business Center, recently visited The Asia Foundation Korea Office, where this interview took place
