Asia Foundation’s Nandita Baruah Speaks at ADB’s Annual Meeting

May 3, 2019 — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) features The Asia Foundation’s India Country Representative Nandita Baruah as a guest panelist at ADB’s 52nd Annual Meeting on May 3 in Fiji. The panel discussion, “Gender-Based Violence and the Rise in Climate-Related Disasters: Applying CSO Insights to Multilateral Investments in Asia and the Pacific,” explores the link between climate-related disasters, disaster risk and gender-based violence.

Nandita Baruah is the Asia Foundation’s country representative in New Delhi, India. She joined the Asia Foundation in 2008 and served as the chief of party for a USAID-funded Counter-Trafficking in Persons project in Cambodia and Nepal, and as deputy country representative then acting country representative for Nepal. Ms. Baruah has over 25 years of experience working in the development sector in Asia.
