National Security and Foreign Relations with North Korea: A South Korean Perspective

A bipartisan delegation of members of South Korea’s 20th National Assembly will visit UC Berkeley this summer to discuss South Korea’s engagement policy toward North Korea. Led by Chung-in Moon, special advisor to the President of South Korea on policy regarding North Korea, together with former South Korean foreign minister Sung-Hwan Kim, the panel discussion will focus on South Korea’s current stance on national security and foreign relations in relation to North Korea. This event is co-sponsored by the Institute of East Asian Studies, Center for Korean Studies, and East Asia Foundation. The panel will be held primarily in Korean with consecutive English interpretation.
