2020 will mark the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, which calls for women’s full and equal participation in peace and security processes and incorporation of gender perspectives in all peacekeeping initiatives and post-conflict recovery measures. Across Asia and the Pacific, significant progress has been made in advancing the women, peace and security (WPS) agenda. This discussion will explore lessons learned while advancing the WPS agenda in the face of emerging issues that demand further attention and action in the time ahead.
