The Asia Foundation seeks an experienced chief of party (COP) for an anticipated five-year, $14M to $17M Social Cohesion Activity in Sri Lanka funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The activity will strengthen Sri Lankan-led efforts to advance social cohesion and reconciliation by strengthening structures and processes facilitating social cohesion, reconciliation, and respect for human rights, reducing socio-economic disparities and exclusion of vulnerable communities, and enhancing community resilience.

The successful candidate will be full-time and based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and will provide overall vision, leadership, and guidance for the program. The COP will supervise key project staff and implementing partners and ensure compliance with the ethical standards, procedures, and policies of The Asia Foundation and with USAID rules and regulations. The COP is expected to have a strategic vision, strong leadership qualities, and depth and breadth of technical expertise in social cohesion, reconciliation, peacebuilding, and social inclusion. The COP should also have a professional reputation, management experience, interpersonal skills, and written and oral communication skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the role. The position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
