On March 8 and 9, 2014 The Asia Foundation supported its partner, the election advocacy organization Perludem, as it held a hackathon to promote the development of mobile apps. Employing Perludem’s API Pemilu, developers created over 40 prototypes capable of disseminating election information on Android and iOS mobile devices – there are now over eight exceptional apps in the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store delivering high quality election information to voters that are free to download and use throughout Indonesia.
