Lotus Leadership Gala with special guest Zari Sesame Street muppet from Afghanistan
Zari, Sesame Workshop’s first Afghan Muppet, paid a visit to the Lotus Leadership Awards Gala in New York City May 11, 2016. Zari appeared on stage with host and broadcast journalist Lynn Sherr. Zari debuts in season five of Baghch-e-Simsim—the local Afghan co-production of Sesame Street. Zari means “shimmering.”
