Nepal After the Earthquake

On April 25, 2015 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal and killed more than 7,900 people, left thousands injured, and millions without homes or food. A second earthquake, 7.3 magnitude, struck two weeks later, causing more deaths and further complicating recovery efforts. The Asia Foundation and Give2Asia are on the ground providing immediate emergency relief.

The Asia Foundation traveled to some of the worst affected areas of Nepal to witness firsthand the aftermath from the Kathmandu Valley to the remote villages of Sindhupalchok district. Listen to Kathmandu resident and Asia Foundation Country Representative Dr. George Varughese speak on the damage in Nepal.
