Nepal suffers second major earthquake

Screen Shot 2015-05-13 at 4.58.17 PMNepal suffered a second major earthquake this week, causing more death and destruction and disrupting recovery efforts. The Asia Foundation has issued rapid, catalytic grants and provided emergency assessment and relief in collaboration with 39 local NGOs and institutions. Through our partners, the Foundation is providing psychosocial support and legal assistance to individuals and families in seven highly affected districts. Our staff in Kathmandu have documented some of the devastation, from the Kathmandu Valley to the isolated villages of Sindhupalchok, in this video, with Nepal Country Representative George Varughese’s comments from a webinar earlier this month.
