Urban Planner, Mongolia



Aldarsaikhan Tuvshinbat works as an urban planner on a redevelopment project that aims to improve living conditions in semi-formal urban settlements (known as ger areas) in Ulaanbaatar City. Her experiences include leading a philanthropy fund that supports early childhood education and youth employment in ger areas, and overseeing public and private real estate developments that foster economic growth in New York City. Aldarsaikhan is actively engaged in various advocacy and awareness initiatives to promote equitable urbanization. She is the co-creator of Felt City podcast, a platform that contributes thoughtful discussions to the public dialogues on urbanization in Mongolia. In addition, she is a board member of the Mongolian Association of State Alumni, which brings together U.S. alumni in Mongolia to spur positive societal change. Aldarsaikhan holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from MIT, and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University as a Fulbright Scholar.
