Former Chief Philanthropy Officer

Amory Sharpe left the Foundation in 2017.

Amory Sharpe was formerly The Asia Foundation’s Chief Philanthropy Officer, overseeing the strategic direction and daily management of private sector fundraising from foundations, corporations, and individuals. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was the Senior Director of Development and Capital Campaigns at the American Conservatory Theater.

He joined the staff of the Asian Art Museum in 2005 and served as the museum’s Director of Development from 2008 to 2012. From 2000 to 2004, he was Director of Development and Government Affairs at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum in New York City. He serves on the Board of the Ring Mountain Day School.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College.
