Doctor and Public Health Advocate, Myanmar



Htin Kyaw Thu is a medical doctor by training and a public health professional. As a program manager at Save the Children International Yangon, Htin is leading the Global Fund’s largest multilateral health fund, tackling the emergence of drug-resistant malaria in the region. He has extensive experiences managing and implementing complex community-based health projects in Myanmar. Htin manages a large grant portfolio in the Greater Mekong Subregion, focusing on program management, program quality and compliance, coordination, partners capacity building, and program evaluation. He is an elected representative for civil society organizations and a global health advocate. He holds a medical degree from University of Medicine, Yangon, and a master’s degree in Public Health from the National University of Singapore.
