Environmental and Social Impact Specialist, India
Jaideep Bansal is CEO at Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE), a social enterprise conducting Impact Expeditions to bring solar energy to remote Himalayan villages. Under his leadership, GHE has electrified 100 villages and lit up the lives of more than 50,000 people using renewable energy. GHE’s work of remote rural electrification has been documented by National Geographic, BBC and has been internationally recognized by the UN, WTTC and the World Tourism Awards. A graduate of IIT Bombay, Jaideep has authored articles on sustainable development and was a speaker at Davos, G20, SEforAll, and ADB events. He served as foundation board member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
