James Sinclair

Program Officer, Pacific Islands

James is a multidisciplinary professional with primary skills in program management, MEL, policy analysis, and research in the social and environmental space. He has worked in Disaster Risk Reduction, Humanitarian Emergency and Response, Food Security and livelihoods, Child Safeguarding, Infrastructure, Energy, Water, and Natural Products Chemistry. 

James has always been driven by a curiosity to understand how things work. What started as a love for the hard sciences eventually grew into a passion for development and humanitarian work. He thrives on solving problems and finding practical solutions that make a lasting difference, helping organizations, communities, and people become stronger and live more sustainably. 

James has a master's degree in Applied Science in Disaster Risk and Resilience from Lincoln University, and a master's degree in Chemistry and bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of the South Pacific.
