Nadia Ali left the Foundation in September 2016.

Nadia Tariq Ali joined The Asia Foundation in 2009 and worked as the Team Manager for the DTAD-supported Pakistan Religious Freedom Initiative, Leaders of Influence, and Program Development & Coordination Manager. This program aims to create political awareness about challenges to minority religious freedom and facilitating improved regulatory framework to safeguard the rights of religious minorities in Pakistan.

During her stint at the Foundation Nadia has been involved in various governance and gender initiatives including USAID-supported Gender Equity Program, Advancement of Women Rights in Islamic Framework as well Mobilizing Women Voters in Pakistan.

Nadia Ali previously worked with the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy where she developed a philanthropy portal focusing on tapping diaspora and indigenous philanthropy to widen the outreach of the social safety net programs in the country. She was also involved in disaster relief and rehabilitation work after the 2008 Pakistan earthquake. Nadia has also been associated with various English Language broadsheets in the country. She has a degree in Mass-Communication from Kinnaird College Lahore.
