Pranaya Sthapi

With more than seven years of invaluable experience at the Foundation, Pranaya Ratna Sthapit is deeply committed to driving impactful change through harnessing technology and driving innovation. As the project director of the UK Aid-funded Data for Development (D4D) program and a vital member of the expanded senior leadership team, he has proven track records of delivering results within limited budgets, launching startup projects, and introducing new management tools and practices. With a strategic mindset and exceptional management skills, he has successfully overseen numerous projects with over 40 partners, driving impactful initiatives across local, provincial, and federal government levels. He is one of the key members of a team recognized with The Asia Foundation’s Presidential award, earning appreciation from The Asia Foundation and the donor. He is known for his ability to build and motivate high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation to drive project success.
Before joining the Foundation, he served as a senior researcher, contributing to socioeconomic and economic studies aimed at understanding developmental issues and policy challenges in the country. Throughout his career as a researcher, he has worked on various aspects of the research project cycle, from designing research tools to delivering findings.
