Renata Arianingtyas

Previous to her work as program director for BERDAYA, Renata Arianingtyas managed MAJu (Empowering Access to Justice) Program as chief of party. She has over 20 years of experience in human rights and non-profit organizations and an interest in civil society capacity building, religious freedom, social inclusion, access to justice, and equal rights. She taught at the University of Indonesia and Paramadina Graduate School for Diplomacy until 2020, and currently also provides teaching assistance to CRCS UGM for Religious Freedom Fellowship Program and a Course on Religion and Human Rights.
Education: Renata Arianingtyas earned a master’s degree in Human Rights Law from Central European University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Indonesia. Her publications include “Indonesia: Between Religious Harmony and Religious Freedom” in David Kirkham, State Responses to Minority Religions (Routledge, 2016), and Membatasi Tanpa Melanggar: Kebebasan Beragama dan Berkeyakinan (CRCS, 2019).
