Education Social Entrepreneur, Laos

Sanva Saephan is an author and social entrepreneur with a firm belief in the power of education. Observing the lack of affordable, quality English and Chinese enrichment courses, Sanva founded an educational social enterprise called Yaonoy Center in Vientiane, Laos. Born as a refugee, he worked to receive a quality education in Singapore through an ASEAN scholarship, to which he attributes many of his accomplishments. He has published two books, with proceeds going towards building a primary school and vocational training center in Laos. Currently, he works as a national consultant for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supporting Sustainable Development Goals initiatives in Laos, and as a Business Development manager. Sanva has a master’s degree in International Development from Tsinghua University, and a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Economics from Singapore Management University.
