Tshering Dolkar

Tshering Dolkar is director of the Climate Change and Environmental Law Clinic and a faculty member specializing in Environmental Law, Climate Change Law and Policy, and International Law at Bhutan’s only law school, Jigme Singye Wangchuck (JSW). Tshering led the Climate Change Taskforce, which was instrumental in establishing the Environmental and Climate Change Law Centre at JSW. She also spearheaded the inaugural Paro Forum, providing a platform for critical discussions on pressing environmental issues. Tshering has contributed significantly to advising the Royal Government of Bhutan and international organizations on matters central to the environment. She is currently developing textbooks for environmental law and international law. Tshering’s commitment to the global discourse on environmental law is evident in her roles as a visiting faculty member at the Economic, Social, and Developmental Rights Winter School at Kathmandu Law School and a research fellow at BOKU University, Institute of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Austria.
