Environmental Scientist, Sri Lanka



Chaturangi Wickramaratne is an environmental scientist with a special interest in climate change and water resources. She leads a division at the Environmental Foundation Limited, a non-profit environmental organization committed to the conservation of Sri Lanka’s natural environment. Her small but dedicated team works on environmental research projects to address knowledge gaps in the country, provides scientific input for national legal conservational issues, and conducts awareness programs for a wide range of audiences on the importance of sustainable development and environmental protection. Chaturangi holds a doctoral degree from the University of Adelaide, and a bachelor’s degree in Resource and Environmental Management from the Australian National University.
