Melissa Chong works in the field of sustainability, helping companies to “do well by doing good.” She is currently a consultant at Corporate Citizenship, a management consultancy specializing in sustainability and corporate responsibility. She works with companies in Southeast Asia, providing advice on areas such as strategy, supply chains, community impact, environment, and human rights. She simultaneously works as a legislative assistant for Louis Ng, a Member of Parliament in Singapore. She is passionate about business and human rights (BHR), having previously managed ASEAN CSR Network’s BHR programs advocating for regional, national, and corporate policies to formally adopt and enforce human rights for vulnerable populations affected by business activity. Formerly, she also worked with various non-profits and as a broadcast journalist for Channel NewsAsia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics.
