2019 Asia Foundation Development Fellows
From April 13-20, 2019 the 2019 class of Asia Foundation Development Fellows participated in a Leadership Training Program in Seoul, Korea, in partnership with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management where they received a surprise visit from 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. The fellows continued to Indonesia – Jakarta, Yogyakarat, and Ubud – for a week-long applied Workshop on Asian Development. In September 2019, the group arrived in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. for a two-week leadership exchange program. The sixth cohort of fellows met with innovators and changemakers across the country for programs and policy discussions on social change and civil society, public diplomacy, design thinking, and other important topics in addition to leadership training at the Weathertop Ranch in Carmel Valley. The leadership program provides highly qualified, young professionals from Asia with an unparalleled opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills and gain in-depth knowledge of Asia’s critical development challenges.HIGHLIGHTS ACROSS ASIA
