Violence in the Age of Social Media
In May 2019, The Asia Foundation invited local partners to Bangkok for a discussion on new technologies and their role in escalating or mitigating violence in the region. Panelists included Gullnaz Baig (Facebook), Min Zaw Oo (Myanmar Institute for Peace and Security), Victoire Rio (Myanmar Tech Accountability Network), Prof. Imtiaz Ahmed (University of Dhaka, Bangladesh) and Prof. Kusuma Kooyai (Prince of Songkla University – Pattani Campus, Thailand).
