About Our Work in Maldives

In the Maldives, the Foundation is working to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations, particularly those in the underserved outer atolls, through hands-on organizational support and training, grants for work on gender equality, public financial accountability, and environmental protection, and facilitation of CSO collaboration with local government agencies. Our research work includes studying the migration corridor between Bangladesh and the Maldives, identifying opportunities for women’s economic engagement through community-based tourism, and undertaking the first-ever mapping study of psychosocial support services and gaps in the Maldives.
