Chief Financial Officer
Ken Krug joined the Foundation in 2011 to become its Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of the Foundation's senior management team, the Chief Financial Officer plays a strategic role in the overall management of the Foundation to ensure its financial health.
Prior to coming to the Foundation, Mr. Krug was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating and Financial Officer for the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles. At the Federation from 2007 to 2010, Mr. Krug was responsible for finance and administration, technology, regulatory compliance, human resources, legal, international operations, facilities and security. When the economic downturn hit in 2008, he spearheaded efforts to reduce spending at the Federation.
Prior to joining the Federation, Mr. Krug worked for many years as an executive at The RAND Corporation, a nonprofit public policy research and analysis organization headquartered in Santa Monica, California. As Corporate Treasurer, he successfully led a $130 million tax-exempt financing to fund RAND's new headquarters in California; he implemented a new enterprise-wide Oracle financial system for RAND; and he designed and installed a new cost structure for RAND to match a shift in corporate strategy. Mr. Krug has an extensive international background, having helped launch and manage RAND's European and Persian Gulf subsidiaries.
Education: B.A. in History and Urban Studies, Columbia College, New York City; M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and Economics, Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Palo Alto.
