Let’s Read Bangladesh: Fostering a Passion for Reading at the Kids Time Fair 2024

Program Year: 2024

From February 16-18, our Let’s Read Bangladesh team participated in the Kids Time Fair 2024, organized by Light of Hope Ltd. The fair aimed to acquaint children and parents with various reading activities and organizations dedicated to nurturing children’s creativity, imagination, and future leadership potential. At our interactive booth, families eagerly explored the wealth of resources available through our free digital Let’s Read library while learning about our mission to instill a passion for reading within our community.

The booth was popular with parents and children eager to learn more about our reading resources. In line with Let’s Read’s objective of making reading enjoyable, we offered 30 quizzes based on stories from our library. Children were encouraged to download the app, immerse themselves in the stories, and demonstrate their understanding by answering thought-provoking questions to win prizes.

Following the fair, parents expressed excitement at how their children engaged with the stories and quizzes. One parent shared how their child’s perception of reading had transformed, noting that while previously considered a chore, their child now approaches reading willingly, thanks to the captivating stories in our digital library.

Witnessing the enthusiasm and engagement of both children and parents solidified our commitment to providing accessible literacy resources, like reading tips and quizzes, that empower the young generation of Bangladesh. Our team looks forward to actively participating in similar initiatives and continuing to foster a love of learning to enrich the lives of children throughout our communities.
