Fifth Annual Lotus Leadership Awards

Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 4.20.35 PMOn June 3 in New York City, The Asia Foundation’s fifth annual Lotus Leadership Awards will honor the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Sheryl WuDunn and women’s rights advocate Dr. Ranjana Kumari. The first Asian-American reporter to win a Pulitzer Prize, and co-author of the New York Times bestseller Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, WuDunn has become a global advocate for women’s rights. As director of India’s Centre for Social Research, Dr. Kumari is dedicated to empowering women and girls and creating a humane, equitable, and gender-just society.
