We work in more than 20 countries through our 17 permanent country offices and programs across Asia and the Pacific, supported by a headquarters in San Francisco and an office in Washington, DC. Our funding comes from a diverse array of bilateral and multilateral development agencies, foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Supported by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, The Asia Foundation is implementing a NZ$15,000,000 regional activity titled AMPLIFY: Amplifying Women’s Peace Actions in ASEAN. The goal of AMPLIFY is to mitigate the disproportionate impacts of conflict and insecurity on women in ASEAN, and to strengthen peace actions through women’s participation and receipt of benefits. AMPLIFY’s team supports regional interventions in ASEAN, with country-level program components in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

The Asia Foundation seeks qualified, talented applicants for a regional program manager position for AMPLIFY. Reporting to the Women, Peace and Security and GESI advisor, the individual will oversee the management and day-to-day project operations of a regional five-year project designed to mitigate the disproportionate impacts of conflict and insecurity on women in ASEAN, and to strengthen peace actions through women’s participation and receipt of benefits.

AMPLIFY will build knowledge on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and cross-border security issues at the regional level, and will support initiatives of ASEAN actors to advance the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action on WPS. At the country level, AMPLIFY will work in partnership with national stakeholders in Lao PDR and Cambodia to support women’s participation and leadership in peace initiatives at the local level and with civil society organizations. The program will also support the advancement of national WPS policies and frameworks in Lao PDR and Cambodia. AMPLIFY will explore opportunities to support women from Myanmar to participate in and benefit from peace initiatives.

The regional program manager will work closely with the WPS advisor, MERL specialist, and other team members spread across country offices. Depending on the successful candidate’s legal eligibility to work in the country, this position can be based in one of The Asia Foundation’s offices in Thailand, Lao PDR, or Cambodia.
