Finance and Administration Manager, Vietnam

Pham Thu Thuy has worked as the Finance and Administration Manager for The Asia Foundation in Vietnam since 2004. She joined The Asia Foundation in June 2000 as an accountant and grant administrator. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked for the Shimizu Corporation, a Japanese company in Vietnam, from 1994 to 2000, serving in various positions such as a secretary and an accountant. Thuy is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She writes, “I joined The Asia Foundation because I was looking for a new challenge and a better environment for improvement. As one of four original staff working for The Asia Foundation, I was so impressed with the Foundation’s working environment: open, kind-hearted, and enthusiastic. This is not only relevant for the people in the Vietnam office but also for our colleagues in the San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices. This is a place where my ideas are respected and my effort is cherished. I am proud of making the right decision—joining The Asia Foundation, a big family.”

Education: Pham Thu Thuy received her bachelor’s degree in English from Hanoi University of Foreign Studies, a degree in Law from Hanoi University, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Hanoi Trade University.
