Social Entrepreneur for Marginalized Communities, Pakistan



Saro Imran is a transgender advocate and social entrepreneur for the socioeconomic development of marginalized communities. She has worked in transgender rights, sexual and reproductive health, and rights and development since 2013, working with numerous national and international organizations. Organizations Saro has worked with include Youth Lead, IYAFP, FP2030, Global Fund for Children, Commonwealth Youth Network for Gender Equality, Rutgers, Youth Voice Count, Accountability Lab, and others. Her research focuses on opportunities and obstacles faced by transgender entrepreneurs in Pakistan. In 2020, she launched the PINK Center, the first space for transgender entrepreneurs in Pakistan.
